WE WOULD LIKE TO INFORM YOU ABOUT THE LAW ON THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA.

In accordance with the provisions of the Law on Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (KVKK); any information that makes your identity specific or identifiable will be processed by the İZMİR METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY, in the capacity of Data Controller, as “Personal Data” within the scope below. “Processing of Your Personal Data” means any of the following operations performed on the data; obtaining, recording, storing, preserving, changing, rearranging, disclosing, transferring, taking over, making available, classifying or preventing the use of such data.

As İZMİR METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY, we attach utmost importance to the security of your personal data, we would like to state that we continue our activities with the awareness that the security of your personal data is at the forefront in the services we provide to you. During the use of your personal data in our services, the privacy of your private life and the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms is our basic principle.

Purposes and Legal Reasons for Processing Your Personal Data
Within the scope of the law and relevant legislation to which our institution is bound; to determine the information to be used in the services to be provided to you, to perform our municipal services, to determine the owner and addressee of all kinds of works and transactions, and we would like to record your identity information, address, telephone number, tax number and other information, which are considered as personal data within the scope of KVKK, and to issue information and documents that will form the basis of works and transactions to be carried out on paper or electronically, provided that it complies with the information retention, reporting and informing obligations stipulated by all judicial and administrative authorities in accordance with the relevant legislation, we want to be able to fulfill our services within the scope of the laws to which we are bound, and to offer you other services offered or requested by our Institution.

In addition, under the title of "Personal Data Processing Conditions" of the Law, the conditions that make it possible to process personal data without seeking the explicit consent of the person concerned are listed as follows;
a) It is clearly stipulated in the laws.
b) It is necessary for the protection of the life or physical integrity of the person or another person, who is unable to express his consent due to actual impossibility or whose consent is not legally recognized.
c) Provided that it is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract,and it is necessary to process the personal data of the parties to the contract.
ç) It is mandatory for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligation.
d) The person concerned has been made public by himself.
e) Data processing is mandatory for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right.
f) Data processing is mandatory for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject. 

Transfer of Your Personal Data
Your personal data in our institution; with the persons, institutions and/or organizations that are required/permitted by the laws, other laws and other legislation to which we are affiliated; with district municipalities in order to carry out the services offered to the citizens; within the scope of the related laws or by obtaining approval from the Izmir Metropolitan Assembly; universities, public institutions and third parties to carry out our municipal activities, within the framework of legal restrictions.

Collection Method of Personal Data
Your personal data, in accordance with the Metropolitan Municipality Law No. 5216 and other relevant legislation; collected by various methods, provided that it is in oral, written or electronic media, with the following methods; with all declaration/information forms and other documents regarding municipal transactions, issued with your approval and/or signature, with electronic approval and/or notifications you make with your signature, our institution, through channels such as local service units, Web Pages, Mobile Applications, Call Center, Kiosks.

Your rights pursuant to Article 11 of the Law
By applying to our institution, your personal data;
a) Learning whether it has been processed or not,
b) Requesting information if processed,
c) Learning the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with its purpose,
d) Knowing the third parties to whom it has been transferred in the country/abroad,
e) Requesting correction if it is incomplete/wrongly processed,
f) To request deletion/destruction within the framework of the conditions stipulated in Article 7 of the KVKK,
g) Requesting notification of the transactions made pursuant to articles (e) and (f) to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,
h) Objecting to the emergence of a result against you due to the analysis exclusively by automated systems,
i) You have the right to demand the compensation of your damage if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing..

Pursuant to paragraph 1 of Article 13 of the Personal Data Protection Law, you can submit your request regarding the exercise of your above-mentioned rights to our Institution in writing or via KEP with an electronic signature. In this context, the channels and procedures to submit your application in writing to our Institution within the scope of Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law are explained below.

In order to exercise your above-mentioned rights, you can send your request, which includes the necessary information identifying your identity and your explanations, by filling out the form at www.izmir.bel.tr, you can personally send a signed copy of the form to the address Izmir Metropolitan Municipality - Registrar's Office - Mimar Sinan Mahallesi 9 Eylül Meydanı No:9/1 Kültürpark içi 1 no'lu Hol Konak / İzmir with documents identifying your identity, you can send it through a notary public or send the relevant form to izmirbuyuksehirbelediye@hs01.kep.tr with a secure electronic signature.
